About VTS

The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society concerns itself with land, airborne and maritime mobile services; portable commercial and citizen's communications services; vehicular electrotechnology, equipment and systems of the automotive industry; traction power, signals, communications and control systems for mass transit and railroads.

The Vancouver Joint Communications Chapter has been selected as the 2009 IEEE VTS Chapter of the Year. This Joint Chapter functions on behalf of the IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, IEEE Photonics Society, IEEE Broadcast Technology Society, IEEE Information Theory Society and the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. The society is chaired by Alon Newton and vice-chaired by Zahra Ahmadian. A plaque recognizing this accomplishment was presented to the Chapter.

New VTS Distinguished Lecturers Program

VTS has unveiled its new distinguished lecturers program, which makes world-class speakers available to VT chapters around the world. With more than 30 Distinguished Lecturers available to go on society-sponsored lecturing tours, the VTS Distinguished Lecturers Program is among the largest in IEEE.
