Jung-Chieh Chen received the Ph.D. degree in communications engineering from the National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2005. He joined the National Kaohsiung Normal University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, as an Assistant Professor, in August 2005. He was promoted as an Associate Professor, a Full Professor, and a Distinguished Professor, in March 2009, March 2012, and August 2020, respectively. Since February 2022, he has been a Full Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. His research interests include wireless communication systems, radio resource management, stochastic optimization methods, and signal processing for communications. Prof. Chen was a recipient of the IET Outstanding Editor Award, in 2019, the Top Editor and Best Editor Awards from the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, in 2021, and the IEEE Wireless Communications Letters in 2022, respectively, and the Best Service Award from the IEEE Tainan Section, in 2020. He is on the list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University. He is currently an Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and the IEEE Wireless Communications Letters. He is also an Associate Editor for IET Signal Processing.
