Lan (Emily) Zhang received the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from the University of Florida in 2020. Since August 2020, she has been an assistant professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering at Michigan Technological University. Her research interests include distributed machine learning and wireless communications for various Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) applications. She received the Michigan Tech Research Excellent Fund award in 2021. Her current research has been funded by multiple NSF projects as a PI/co-PI. She is currently an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
