Prof. Prabhat Kumar Upadhyay received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2011. He joined IIT Indore in 2012 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, where he became Associate Professor in 2017 and a Professor in 2022. He was a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), University of Oulu, Finland during May-August 2022 under Nokia Foundation Fellowship. He is leading a Wireless Communication (WiCom) Research Group at IIT Indore, which is actively involved in cutting-edge research and development to cater to the emerging needs of the next generation wireless communication systems. His main research interests include cooperative and cognitive radio techniques, MIMO signal processing, hybrid satellite-terrestrial systems, energy harvesting, physical layer security, Internet of Things (IoT) networks, molecular communications and nano-networks. He has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and has authored a book and six book chapters. Prof. Upadhyay is currently serving as an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and IEEE Communications Letters. He served as a Guest Editor of the Special Issue on “Energy-Harvesting Cognitive Radio Networks” in the IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications & Networking in 2018, and as an Associate Editor for IEEE Access during Jan. 2018 - Jan. 2022. He has also been involved in the Technical Program Committee of several IEEE premier conferences.
