Review Process
An online peer review process is used through the IEEE Author Portal. The IEEE Author Center provides further information on peer review, but the overall peer review process is summarized with the following steps.
- Author submits paper
- Administrator checks that electronic file is readable and conformal to the author's guideline, and then passes it to Editor-in-Chief
- Editor-in-Chief runs the cross-reference check via online professional similarity check software and if the check is passed, the Editor-in-Chief assigns the paper to an Editor to conduct review process
- Editor checks for scope and conflict of interest
- Editor requests reviewers
- Editor passes information to reviewers that agree to review paper
- Reviewers review paper
- Editor collects reviews
- Editor makes a preliminary decision
- Editor-in-Chief reviews preliminary decision and notifies author(s) of decision.
