This committee addresses the history of vehicular technology and of this Society. In doing so, it shall carry out the following:

• Promote the collection, writing, and dissemination of historical information concerning the VTS fields of interest.
• Promote the collection, writing, and dissemination of historical and archival information about VTS and its predecessor organizations.
• Preserve, research, and promote the history of technologies related to VTS fields of interest.
• Propose VTS-related Milestones to the IEEE History Committee.
• Organize special sessions on history during the Vehicular Technology Society's Conferences.
• Prepare papers on history for publication in Vehicular Technology Magazine, Transactions on Vehicular Technology, VTS Mobile World, and other VTS publications.
