Dr Shi received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. His current research interests Statistic Signal Processing, IoT system design. He has published more than 100 papers and has more than 100 issued patents. He is serving/served as AE of IEEE Signal Processing Letters, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Network, IET Communications, and Journal of The Franklin Institute. He served as the general co-chair of IEEE SAM 2020.



He was the recipient of the 2019 IET Communications Premium Award, and coauthored a paper that received the 2021 IEEE Signal Processing Society Young Author Best Paper Award. He was also the recipient of the Best Paper Award from SAP 2020, IEEE GLOBECOM 2019, IEEE iThings 2019, IEEE WCNC 2017, IEEE/CIC ICCC 2013, and IEEE WCNC 2013. He was also the recipient of many teaching awards.
