Dr. Bansal has received his M. Tech. in Signal Processing from Division of ECE, NSIT, Delhi in 2009. He received his Ph.D. Degree from Department of Electrical Engg., Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India in 2013. He worked as an assistant professor at Division of ECE, NSIT from September, 2013 to December 2019. Since then, he is working with Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Jammu and currently he is an Associate Professor in the department. His main research interests include various wireless communication technologies such as multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), free space optical (FSO) communications, intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) assisted communication systems, and Vehicular communications. Moreover he has published more than 70 research papers in various reputed international journals and conferences including IEEE TCOM, IEEE TWC, IEEE TVT, IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM etc.

Dr. Bansal is a senior member of IEEE and has served as a reviewer of various IEEE journals and conferences.
