Dr. Iwan Adhicandra currently serves as the Head of the Department of Informatics at Bakrie University. With over 20 years of experience in global higher education, he has made significant contributions at renowned institutions in the UK, Italy, and Australia. Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Sydney, he also possesses professional certifications in Data Science, Big Data, the Internet of Things from MIT, and Advanced Cyber Security from Stanford University.

Iwan has been a Visiting Scholar at leading institutions in the Netherlands, Norway, Germany, and the USA, broadening his global academic perspective. As a Senior Member of the IEEE (SMIEEE), and a member of ACM, IET, BCS, ACS, and the IEEE Standard Association, he actively engages in technological advancements and collaborations.

For over 15 years, he has been a reviewer for prestigious journals, including IEEE Communication Magazine and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing. His work has been supported by research grants from numerous institutions, such as Leeds Beckett University, Politecnico di Torino, UNESCO, and Philips Research Europe.
