Joonhyuk Kang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Seoul National Univ. in Electrical Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Computer Eng. at University of Texas, Austin. His research interests include signal processing for communication and computing. He worked for Samsung Electronics and Cwill Telecommunications and visited Harvard Univ. as a visiting scholar. He is now a faculty member of school of Electrical Engineering at KAIST. He received the IEEE VTS Jack Neubauer Memorial Award in 2021 with his paper titled "Mobile Edge Computing via a UAV-Mounted Cloudlet: Optimization of Bit Allocation and Path Planning."
