Luca D’Acierno is an Associate Professor at Federico II University of Naples, Italy (since 2015). From 2006 to 2014, he was a university researcher at Federico II University of Naples, Italy. Since 2017, he teaches ‘Design and management of urban transportation systems’ at Federico II University of Naples, Italy. Since 2011, he teaches ‘Organisation and safety in rail network operations’ at Federico II University of Naples, Italy. From 2006 to 2010, he taught ‘Urban and metropolitan transport’ at Federico II University of Naples, Italy. He is a member of the Italian Society of Transport Lectures (since 2004) and a member of the Italian Association of Railway Engineers (since 2012). His research interests include public transport planning and design, rail system analysis and management, multimodal transportation network design, transportation network assignment, pricing policy analysis and probe vehicle use. He has authored more than 170 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
