Prashant is currently working as a modem systems and standards engineer at Qualcomm, focusing on research and development of 5G NR standards, particularly for Reduced Capability (RedCap) devices, XR devices, High Speed Trains (HST) communication, Air to Ground (ATG) communication, Full Duplex systems, etc. He serves as Qualcomm's delegate to 3GPP RAN4 meetings where he contributes to the development of Radio Resource Management (RRM) methods and protocols.
In his earlier career, while working for Marvell and NXP semiconductors, Prashant participated in IEEE 802.11 standards meetings with significant contribution towards standardization of IEEE 802.11bd - the Next Generation V2X (NGV) standard.
His research interests are broadly in the field of Wireless communication, V2X communication, 5G-NR, 6G, WLAN etc.
