Sunwoo Kim (S’99-M’05-SM’17) received his B.S degree from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea in 1999, and his Ph.D. degree, in 2005, from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California, Santa Barbara. Since 2005, he has been working in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, where he is currently a professor. He is also the director of the 5G/Unmanned Vehicle Research Center, funded by the Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea. He was a visiting scholar to the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems, Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2018 to 2019. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He is a senior member of the IEEE. His research interests include wireless communication/positioning/localization, statistical signal processing.
