Dr Xiaoyan Huang received the B.Eng. and the Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University and the University of Nottingham in 2003 and 2008, respectively. During 2008-2009, she was as a research fellow in the PEMC group at the University of Nottingham. She joined Zhejiang University as a lecturer in 2009. Since 2016, she was a full professor in Electrical Engineering with Zhejiang University. Prof Huang has authored 200+ technical papers, and is the inventor of 40+ patents. She received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2019 and the China Invention Patent Gold Award in 2020. Her current research focuses on the design and control of high power/torque density permanent magnet machines and drives for electric transportation.
