Dr. Zhihong Yao is an associate professor at the School of Transportation and Logistics, Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests include connected automated vehicles, traffic flow theory, traffic signal control, traffic simulation, and traffic emissions. He has published more than 80+ academic papers, including Transportation Research Part C, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, with total citations 2500+, i10-index 49+ and H-index 24+. He has served as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, IEEE Open Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, and International Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems Research. Meanwhile, He is an Editorial Board member of Control Engineering Practice and Sustainable Horizons, China Journal of Highway Transportation (Chinese), and the Journal of Transportation Engineering and Information (Chinese). He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
