Dr. Zhihong Yao is an associate professor at the School of Transportation and Logistics, Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests include connected automated vehicles, traffic flow theory, traffic signal control, traffic simulation, and traffic emissions. I have published more than 60+ academic papers, including Transportation Research Part C, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, Physica A, Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, IET Intelligent Transport Systems, Energy, Journal of Safety Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, with total citation 1400+, i10-index 28+ and H-index 17+. I am an Editorial Board member of Sustainable Horizons and the Journal of Transportation Engineering and Information (Chinese). Meanwhile, I have served as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, an Academic Editor and the Lead Guest Editor of the Journal of Advanced Transportation and PLOS One. I am a member of the traffic simulation and CAVs technical committee of the World Transport Convention (WTC).
