Balasubramaniam Natarajan received the B.E. degree (Hons.) in electrical and electronics engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India, Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Colorado State University, Ph.D. degree in statistics from Kansas State University, in 1997, 2002 and 2018, respectively. Since Fall 2002, he has been a Faculty Member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, USA, where he is currently a Clair N. Palmer and Sara M. Palmer Endowed Professor and the Director of the Cyber Physical Systems and Wireless Innovations (CPSWin) Group. His research interests include statistical signal processing, stochastic modeling, optimization, and control theories. He has worked on applications spanning wireless communications and networks, biomedical signal processing, and cyber physical systems (e.g., smart grid). He has published over 200 refereed journal and conference articles in these areas. He has served on the editorial board of multiple IEEE journals including the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He represents VTS in IEEE Council on RFID and IEEE Smart Grid.
