Dr. Zhihong Yao is an associate professor at the School of Transportation and Logistics, Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests include connected automated vehicles, traffic flow theory, traffic signal control, traffic simulation, and traffic emissions. He has published more than 80+ academic papers, including Transportation Research Part C, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, with total citations 1600+, i10-index 31+ and H-index 19+. He is an Editorial Board member of Sustainable Horizons, China Journal of Highway Transportation (Chinese), and the Journal of Transportation Engineering and Information (Chinese). Meanwhile, he has served as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and the Lead Guest Editor of the Journal of Advanced Transportation. He is a member of the World Transport Convention (WTC) technical committee.
