Anuj Abraham is a Senior Researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates since July 2022. Previously, he was working as a Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), a research entity of the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), Singapore (2019-2022). His research interests are in systems & control with a strong background in the modelling of complex systems, optimization, & control of a large-scale system with applications to intelligent transportation systems, autonomous systems, and process control & instrumentation. He has several years of expertise in the field of control engineering and smart mobility. He is skilled in traffic simulation, control theory, C, C++, Robot Operating Systems (ROS), MATLAB, VISSIM, and VTD. This encompasses the use of modelling and control to solve science and engineering problems.  
 
Anuj earned his Ph.D. in the faculty of electrical engineering at Anna University, Chennai-India in February 2017. He completed his master’s degree (M.E.) with a specialization in Electrical Drives and Embedded Control from Anna University of Technology, Regional Campus Coimbatore, India in 2011. He has finished his bachelor's degree (B.Tech.) in the Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation (AEI), Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET), in Kerala, India. Moreover, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Energy Research Institute@NTU (ERIAN) and Smart Mobility Experience Lab (SMEL) of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (2017–2019).   
 
He has been a recipient of the Anna Centenary Research Fellowship (ACRF) and a scholarship for an exchange Ph.D. of 6 months mobility period at the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic through Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (EMA2) Svaagata.eu project, funded by European Union (EU). In addition, a paper by Anuj (from the time he was in Singapore) won the Vincent Bendix Automotive Electronics Engineering Award in 2021, funded by SAE International. He has teaching experience of more than 5 years as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation at the Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET), APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) in Kerala- India.
