Dr. Catherine M. Elias received her MSc degree (2018) in Mechatronics Engineering in the field of cooperative control of multi-robot systems, German University in Cairo (GUC), Egypt. She received her PhD degree (2022) in the design of V2X-based cooperative architectures for transportation systems agents. Catherine is currently holding a lecturer position in the Computer Science Engineering Department, Faculty of Media Engineering and Technology, GUC, Egypt, and director of the C-DRiVeS Lab: Cognitive Driving Research in Vehicular Systems. She is a member of the Board of Governors (2023–2025) of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society and IEEE ITSS standing committee co-chair on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI-ITSS).
