Dr. Chao Huang is a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial and System Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). She received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Wollongong, Australia in 2018. Dr. Huang is the author/co-author of more than 80 papers in conferences, book chapters, and journals, with a significant number of them falling under the areas of mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, transportation science, aerospace engineering, computer science, and robotics. Dr. Huang is currently serving as an Associate Editor in Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, IEEE Women in Engineering Magazine, International Journal of Control, Automation and Systems(IJCAS) and IET Intelligent Transport Systems. Her research interests are human-machine collaboration, fault-tolerant control, mobile robots (EV, UAV), and path planning and control.
