Julius Schöning received the Ph.D. degree in computer vision from the Institute of Cognitive Science, Osnabrück University. He has studied mechatronics as well as intelligent embedded microsystems. He is currently a Full Professor with the Media Laboratory, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, focusing on AI-in-the-loop, which combines AI and HMI to create safe and trustworthy AI applications. Previously, he was a Systems Architect and a Researcher with ZF Friedrichshafen AG, focused on self-driving vehicles. Besides, he has working experience as a Software Requirement Engineer for HMIs.
