Dr.Poorani S, got graduated from Annamalai University in the discipline of Electrical & Electronics Engineering during 1997 and had completed post-graduation from PSG College of Technology with Control Systems as her specialization during 1999. Further she had completed her research work in the area of Electric Vehicle as a full time research scholar and obtained Ph.D from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University Campus during the year 2008. She possess a total of 25 years of experience in the areas of Teaching, Research, Training, and Administration. Her area of interest includes Control Systems, Electric Vehicle and Non-Linear Controllers. She had published about 50 research papers in renowned International Journals. She had also received Seminar Grants, Travel Grants, and Research Funds under RPS scheme from various bodies like IEEE, DST, CCSTDS etc., She is also a member in various technical bodies. She also possess vast experience in the areas of Administration and is holding a key management position in an engineering institution. She had also reviewed about 150 journal paper for various international journals. She also had received various citations, awards, and certifications for her publication, and professional contributions. Besides teaching and research, she also had involved in pedagogy training for young faculty. Dr.Poorani is member in various professional bodies. She is in the grade of Senior member in IEEE, Life member in ISTE & member of IEI.
