Dr. Sheng Zhu earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, in 2020. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Automotive Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology and Tongji University, obtained in 2012 and 2015, respectively. Dr. Zhu has conducted research in areas of cooperative vehicle platooning for enhanced sustainable efficiency, robust control and trajectory planning for autonomous driving, and has contributed numerous related research publications. He is an active reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification. Currently, Dr. Zhu leads the control team at Deeproute.ai Ltd, a self-driving startup strategically invested by Alibaba Group. He has extensive industrial experience in developing Level 3+ mass-production ADAS solutions, ensuring robust control performance under all-weather conditions.
