Dr. Mohammad Amir has the distinction of being awarded the National Post Doctoral Fellowship under the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India, working in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Dr. Amir was awarded a Ph.D. degree from the Advanced Power Electronics Research Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi, India, in 2023. He completed his M.Tech. degree with a specialization in Power Electronics and Drives from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, India, in 2018, and his B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Integral University, Lucknow, India, in 2015.Stanford University USA has listed Dr Amir among the Top 2% of Scientists across the World in 2024. He was also appointed as a Research Associate in a project titled “Electric Vehicle Charger and Charging Infrastructure at LT Level” in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi, under the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. Additionally, he is leading a research project as Principal Investigator (PI) titled "Stochastic Analysis for Large-Scale Electric Vehicles Load with Flexible Charging Prediction and Intelligent-Based Control of Renewable Rich Smart Microgrid with Energy Storage," funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) with a grant of 3.03 million INR.Engaged as a Visiting Research Associate at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Qatar University, from October 2023 to January 2024. Contributing to the National Priorities Research Program (NPRP) project titled "Impact Assessment of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Regulation Policies for Upcoming Active Distribution Network of Qatar Utility Grid. Dr. Amir has been Research Assistant in Advanced Power Electronics Research Lab, Department. of Electrical Engineering, JMI, New Delhi, from Jan 2021 to Feb 2023, working under the SPARC Project of MHRD, Govt. of India, in collaboration with Aalborg University, Denmark. While pursuing for his Ph.D., he was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Higher College of Technology, United Arab Emirates for a period of three months. Dr. Amir had also worked as a Visiting Faculty in the Department of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, NSUT, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India from 2019 to 2021. He was a recipient of the Ministry of Human Resource & Development (MHRD) and University Grant Commission (UGC) Fellowship besides being a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Fellow, specialization in Electrical Engineering from the year 2016-2018 conducted by the Indian Institute Science (IISc), Bangalore. He has also qualified for the Faculty Aptitude Test of Engineering (FATE) in 2018, conducted by IET, Lucknow, India.He is actively IEEE Young Professional in various Societies, and in the year 2021-2022, served as a Research & Academic Career Coordinator, IEEE Delhi Section, (Region 10, Asia-Pacific). Currently, Dr. Amir is Associate member of International Society of Energy and Built Environment, Australia. Member of Autonomous Vehicles and Systems, ASME (USA). Also, Associate member of International Society for Energy Transition Studies. Dr. Amir has more than 75 published papers in reputed international journals, international conferences, and high indexed books with invited chapters. He has received best paper awards at several international conferences and has two granted patents to his credit. He served on the pre-screening committee for conferences such as: ICSPER, NIT Warangal, India, IEEE-SGRE 2024, Doha, Qatar, IEEE-ECCE 2021 (Singapore), 2022 (Germany), 2023 (USA), IEEE-REEDCON 2023, Delhi, India, IEEE-ICPIEC 2019, India, IEEE-INDICON 2020, Delhi, India, Springer Conference on Electrical Systems & Automation 2023, Morocco, He also served as a session chair at: IEEE INCET-2023, India, and Springer SIGMAA-2023 and many more. His research interests include Smart Transportation, Power System Optimization, Intelligent Energy Management, Energy Storage, AI/ML in Smart Microgrids, and Hybrid Electric Vehicles
