Role of Generative AI in Next-Generation Wireless Systems

Recently, we have been witnessing the remarkable success and widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. In particular, advancement of generative AI technology is remarkable and we can expect that generative AI will be widely used for various wireless applications for 6G. In this talk, we will introduce a new paradigm integrating generative AI, multimodal sensing, and wireless communications referred to as task-oriented autonomous communications and explain how this paradigm will shape the future wireless systems and our life. We will also discuss specific examples of task-oriented autonomous communications including V2X, warehouse, robot control, and automatic delivery.
