Yue Gao is a Chair Professor at the School of Computer Science, Director of the Intelligent Networking and Computing Research Centre at Fudan University, China and a Fellow of the IEEE and the IET. He received his PhD from the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) U.K. in 2007. He has worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, reader, and chair professor at QMUL and the University of Surrey. His research interests include sparse signal processing, smart antennas and cognitive networks for mobile and satellite systems. He was a co-recipient of the EU Horizon Prize Award on Collaborative Spectrum Sharing in 2016 and elected an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Fellow in 2017. He is a member of the Board of Governors and Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS), Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Wireless Communication Technical Committee, and past Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Cognitive Networks. He has been an editor of several IEEE Transactions and Journals, a Symposia Chair, a Track Chair, and held other roles in the organising committee of several IEEE ComSoC, VTS, and other conferences.
