The mission of the VT Overhead Contact Systems standards committee is to create and review standards for the light rail and trolley bus industry.

The committee’s technical areas of interest include all areas of overhead catenary systems, poles, support structures, messenger and contact wires, feeder cables, disconnect and distribution switches, and third rail and associated cabling and switches.
