IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Mission Critical Communications Best Workshop Paper Award

Winners will be announced and awarded at the relevant workshop hosted by the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Technical Committee on Mission Critical Communications.

The process for approval of the Award recipient will consist of reviewing the submitted workshop papers by assigned reviews. Deliberation among the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Mission Critical Communications Best Workshop Paper Award Committee regarding novelty, quality, impact, and readability of the submissions. The average review score of the winning paper should be at least 4.0 out of 5.0.

• Workshop papers accepted for presentation and publication in workshops hosted by the IEEE VTS Committee on Mission Critical Communications.
• The main topic of the paper, or some of its key contributions, must be focused on the field of mission critical communications for vehicular environments or closely related topics.
• At least one of the co-authors must be an IEEE VTS member at the moment of paper submission.
• Eligibility and Selection process shall comply with procedures and regulations established in IEEE and Society/Council governing documents, particularly with IEEE X X 2 Policy 4.4 on Awards Limitations. Previous award winners are not eligible for substantially the same achievements (per IEEE Policies 4.4: An individual shall receive only one award for a given achievement, unless the significance merits a higher award, which may be given in the following year or thereafter.)

All the papers accepted in a workshop hosted by the Committee on Mission Critical Communications are eligible for the best workshop paper award. To learn more about the VTC2026-Spring workshop, click here.

a. The paper should be written in English and conform to the standard IEEE Template for Conference Proceedings (https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html)

b. The paper topic should be in the fields of mission critical communications for vehicle environments. Nominations should comply with IEEE Policies and restrictions on awards. Incidents of misconduct including, but not limited to, violations of IEEE's publication policies, will be strongly considered by the awards committee and may be grounds for denial of an award or leadership position.
