The Rail Car Interface Standards Committee reviews, revises, and introduces new standards related to onboard rail car systems interfacing with the rail car architecture. 

The systems include but not limited to passenger communication and information systems, auxiliary power systems, and vehicle battery systems. Currently there are several standards that have expired or need to be revised to include current industry practices and technologies.
