Amiya Nayak received his B.Math degree in Computer Science and Combinatorics and Optimization from University of Waterloo, Canada, in 1981, and Ph.D. in Systems and Computer Engineering from Carleton University, Canada, in 1991. He has over 17 years of industrial experience in software engineering, avionics and navigation systems, simulation and system level performance analysis. Currently, he is a full professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa. He is now an Associate Editor of IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society, Journal of Sensor & Actuator Networks, Future Internet, and International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks. He has served in the Editorial Board of several journals, including IEEE Transactions on Parallel & Distributed Systems, International Journal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems, and EURASIP Journal of Wireless Communications and Networking. His research interests include mobile computing, wireless sensor networks, and Internet of Things.
