Arafat Al-Dweik is currently a Professor at the Department of Computer and Information Engineering, Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He also maintains adjunct professor roles at Western University and the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, and the University of Manchester, UK. Prior to his current appointments, he gained industrial experience at Efficient Channel Coding, Inc. in Cleveland, OH, USA, and served at the University of Guelph.

Prof. Al-Dweik's research encompasses a wide spectrum of wireless communications, including modulation techniques for 6G, channel modeling and characterization, OFDM technology, advanced error detection and correction, MIMO systems, and multiple access schemes for next-generation networks.

He is an active contributor to the academic community, serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (since 2010) and formerly for IET Communications (2014-2022). Recognized for his expertise, he was appointed an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer for 2023-2027 and is a member of the IEEE VTS Ad Hoc Committee on Mission Critical Communications. His distinguished career is highlighted by numerous research awards, 12 issued US patents, and over 200 scholarly publications.
