Dr Mushi is a lecturer in the department of electrical engineering. He has a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems from Yokohama National University, an MSc in Power Systems and High Voltages, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Dar es Salaam. He has extensive knowledge in electrical power systems, power electronics, and high voltage technologies from working in several places – both private and public, in different capacities. Dr Mushi has authored several books of use to Tanzania Primary and Secondary Schools.  His research interests and areas of expertise include rural and urban electrification; renewable energies; smart grids; digital control; design and analysis of DC-DC converters; high voltage technologies; power electronics; electrical drives and machines; power systems control and protection; and mechatronics. Dr Mushi teaches several undergraduate courses in electrical engineering, and high voltage technologies, and postgraduate courses in high voltage technologies, power electronics, and renewable energies.
