Dr. Chetna Singhal is a chargée de recherche (research scientist) at INRIA Rennes, France, specializing in the intersection of wireless networks, multimedia communication, and artificial intelligence. She previously served as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and held an ERCIM Alain Bensoussan Fellowship at RI.SE, Sweden. Her research focuses on AI-driven optimization for next-generation wireless technologies, including 5G/6G orchestration, UAV-assisted networks, and immersive multimedia streaming.
Dr. Singhal earned her Ph.D. and M.Tech degrees from IIT Delhi, where she received the best PhD Dissertation and academic excellence awards. She is a Senior Member of the IEEE and has contributed to over 50 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact venues such as IEEE INFOCOM, VTC, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing. Throughout her career, she has led multiple sponsored research projects and received prestigious honors, including the DST Inspire Faculty Award and the University of Pune Gold Medal.
