Dr. Tariq is currently a Senior Lecturer at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. Prior to this, he has held academic positions at Queen Mary University of London. He received his MSc in Engineering degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden and PhD degree from The Open University, UK. His research interest includes 6G Communications, programmable wireless environment and high throughput low latency systems. He has authored and co-authored 50+ articles, conference papers and book chapters. He received best paper award in IEEE WPMC 2013. He has also edited 5 books published from CRC press and Springer LLC. He has served as the chair of IEEE VTS UK and Ireland chapter. He has also served as an associate editor for the IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, IEEE Access and an editor for the Journal of Networks and Computer Applications. He also served as guest editor for numerous special issues in renowned journals.
