Hyun Jong Yang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seoul National University (SNU), Korea. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Information Services Committee (ISC) for the IEEE ComSoc Asia Pacific Board (APB). Prior to joining SNU, he held faculty positions as an Associate Professor at POSTECH and an Assistant/Associate Professor at UNIST. His professional background also includes serving as a Staff II Systems Design Engineer at Broadcom Corp., a Post-doctoral Researcher at Stanford University, and the founder of EgoVid Inc. His primary research interests include AI-native radio access networks (AI-RAN), 6G wireless communications, mobile edge computing (MEC), distributed learning, and digital twin-based network optimization.
