Dr. Kantipudi M.V.V. Prasad is a Professor in the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, with over 14 years of academic and research experience in signal processing, wireless systems, and AI-driven technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Signal Processing from VTU, where his research focused on developing novel spectral estimation techniques using Recursive Least Squares (RLS) algorithms. His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including medical signal processing and machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and renewable energy integration. Dr. Prasad has published over 100 SCI/Scopus-indexed research papers in reputed journals such as IEEE Access, Scientific Reports, Sustainable Computing Informatics and Systems, Energy and Intelligent Systems with Applications. Dr. Prasad has led and contributed to several funded projects from IEEE, including the IEEE SPS-HAC grant, IEEE Seasonal School grant (USD 5,000), and Young Professionals UpSkill grant, focusing on socially impactful signal processing applications, such as gesture-based threat detection and AI for agriculture and healthcare. In addition to research, he has made significant contributions to capacity building by organizing 25+ workshops, FDPs, and national-level technical programs. He has also co-authored books and chapters published by Springer, Wiley, and IGI Global in the domains of healthcare AI, aerial sensing, and smart systems. His collaborative research on handwritten diagram recognition, drone-based plastic detection, and EEG-based seizure prediction reflects a multidisciplinary approach aligned with national development goals.
