Stefan Schwarz is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Telecommunications, TU Wien, since 2021. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from TU Wien in 2013 and his habilitation in Mobile Communications in 2019. His research focuses on wireless communication systems and signal processing, emphasizing multi-antenna and multi-user transmission, interference management, channel modeling, and large-scale network simulation. Recently, his work integrates optimization and machine learning for adaptive wireless systems. He is an IEEE Senior Member and serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Communications Letters. He has chaired major events such as ESIT 2022 and WSA 2019 and regularly organizes sessions and special issues for IEEE conferences and journals.
