Student Travel Grants Available for VTC2026-Fall
IEEE VTC2026-Fall is pleased to announce the availability of NSF Student Travel Grants to support U.S.-based undergraduate and graduate students attending the 2026 IEEE 104th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2026-Fall), taking place 6–9 September 2026 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the program is designed to broaden student participation and help students actively engage with the global vehicular technology research community. The conference brings together participants from academia, industry, and government to exchange ideas and advances across wireless communications, mobile networking, vehicular systems, intelligent transportation, AI/ML for communications, IoT, satellite and non-terrestrial networks, and emerging 6G technologies.
A limited number of grants will be awarded competitively and may provide partial reimbursement for eligible conference-related expenses, including:
- Conference registration
- Airfare or transportation
- Lodging
- Local transportation
Students with accepted papers, posters, demos, workshop papers, recent-results papers, or other technical contributions are strongly encouraged to apply, though an accepted paper is not required for consideration.
The program especially encourages applications from:
- First-time VTC attendees
- Undergraduate research students
- M.S. and Ph.D. students
- Students from underrepresented groups in STEM
- Students from institutions with limited travel resources
Awardees will be expected to actively participate in the conference and complete a brief post-conference report following the event.

- Award Notification: 13 July 2026
- Award Acceptance Deadline: 20 July 2026
- IEEE VTC2026-Fall: 6–9 September 2026
