A message from the VP of Publications
An update from the IEEE VTS Vice President of Publications, James Irvine
Vehicular Technology Magazine update
From the December 2022 issue, the IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine will also be available on PageRaft, an interactive format designed for easy reading on mobile devices. The interface will also allow you to download a complete copy in PDF form. You will receive an email when each new issue is ready, with a clickable link to the issue. Ensure that your member profile allows email contact to get this email. Obviously, IEEE Xplore access to all issues remains available, but we hope you find this additional electronic channel for new issues useful for easy reading on smaller devices.
Those who prefer traditional means of communication should be reassured that this does not represent a first step away from print. The VTS Board remains committed to providing the print magazine free to all members as part of their subscription, and also has no plans to raise the $18 membership fee. While electronic subscriptions have their place, there is nothing quite like browsing hard copy. This is especially important in a society like VTS with such a diverse range of members. Flipping through pages can show you parts of the society you might not know you were interested in!
VT Mobile World newsletter update
Avid readers of the Mobile World newsletter will have noticed it has been running behind lately. While Editor-in-Chief Richard Yu and his team have had the issues prepared on time, we have had problems with the vendor responsible for distribution. These issues have been resolved so we will be catching up over the next few weeks.
