Jing Yan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree in automation from Henan University in 2008 and the Ph.D. degree from Yanshan University in 2014. He was a Postdoctor at the University of North Texas (Jan.–Sep. 2016) and a Research Associate at the University of Texas at Arlington (2016–2017). He is now a Full Professor at Yanshan University. He has authored over 100 papers, two books, and 23 patents. His research interests include detection, communication, and control for maritime unmanned systems. Dr. Yan has received the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, the Young Scientist of Maritime Power award, and the CICC Youth Science and Technology Award. He serves as an Associate Editor for several journals, including IEEE TITS, IEEE TVT, Ocean Engineering, IEEE/CAA JAS, IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Sensors Letter, and IET CTA.
