2022 IEEE VTS Board of Governors Elections

Elections for five (5) members of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) for the term 2023-2025 will be held between July and September 2022.   
 
This notice serves as an open call for nominations of qualified candidates. Valid nominations will be reviewed by the VTS Nominations Committee, which will put forward a slate of candidates for approval by the Board of Governors.  
 
Nomination process: Any regular VTS member can nominate themselves or other regular VTS members.

Minimum qualifications of nominees:

• Be a regular VT Society Member for at least the immediate past five years.
• Be committed to attending the three yearly Board meetings.

We encourage nominations from all qualified applicants, and encourage diversity in country of origin, gender, culture, occupation, ability and other dimensions on the Board of Governors.

Completed nomination forms should be sent to the Nominations Committee Chair, Javier Gozalvez before 10 pm EST, May 10, 2022.
 
The Board of Governors of the IEEE VTS is a fifteen-member body that has the responsibility for managing all aspects of the society, including oversight of publication, membership, and conference activities, as well as the election of the VTS President. Board of Governors members have three-year terms, with five new members being elected each year, on a rotating basis. The Board holds three meetings yearly: two meetings usually concurrent and co-located with the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conferences, and a January/February meeting held in the U.S.
